El adulto con tetralogía de Fallot: Lo que el cardiólogo clínico necesita saber

Resumen

La tetralogía de Fallot es la cardiopatía congénita cianótica más frecuente. Luego de más de siete décadas desde la primera cirugía paliativa, el pronóstico de esta enfermedad ha cambiado radicalmente. Con la mayor sobrevida de pacientes con tetralogía de Fallot hacia la adultez, el cardiólogo clínico enfrenta retos en el manejo de esta población, desde la regurgitación pulmonar severa hasta la falla cardíaca y arritmias ventriculares. En esta revisión se describirán los aspectos más relevantes del cuidado de pacientes adultos con esta enfermedad.
